CPC - Annual Wellness Division

Job Description :
CPC needed to join the Wellness Team of a large practice in Innsbrook. Primary duty will be to conduct Annual Welness Visits (AWV) that are compliant with CMS regulations.


AWVs are completed in the field by our team of clinicians.  The CPC will be expected to review completed AWVs to assign accurate ICD-10 codes to the diagnoses charted by the clinician.

The CPC will be expected to work closely with the clinical and management teams with the highest level of professionalism.  As an AWV Team Member, you will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with patients who may have complex medical needs, and/or communication barriers.




  • AWV Team Member will take responsibility of Annual Wellness Visit Program to include establishing an audit plan, communicating questions/concerns to the clinical team, assigning appropriate recommendations to the clinical team and regularly reporting status to the management team

  • AWV Team Member will be expected to review completed AWVs for multiple partners to ensure accurate assignment of ICD-10 codes

  • AWV Team Member will complete training for the AWV and the use of the AWV Software tool

  • AWV Team Member will conduct the chart audits under the quality review of our quality team to include a Physician

  • AWV Team Member will work in a team environment to complete review of the AWV’s, and make all best efforts to meet delivery timeframes

  • Ensures all mandatory training is completed on time.

  • Practices in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws which govern confidentiality and medical information privacy regulations (HIPAA).



  • Certified Professional Coder

  • ICD-10CM proficient

  • High school graduation or GED required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • PC skills, including Windows and Microsoft. Must be able to adapt to software changes as they occur.

  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

  • Ability to comply with privacy and confidentiality standards.

  • Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems with professionalism and patience, and to exercise good judgment when making decisions.
