IT - Data Analyst

Location : Glen Allen, VA
Job Type : Temp/Contract

Job Description :

Full-time position to perform technical, administrative and database management functions for the National Account Services team in Glen Allen


  


REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:




  1. 3 years of experience in Access database development, troubleshooting, and administration (backup, restoration, performance tuning)




  2. Ability to read/write/edit Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Microsoft Access




  3. BS degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience




  4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to manage large amounts of data




  5. Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities




  6. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teammates to accomplish goals




  7. Must have excellent communication skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to follow-thru on assignments




 


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES




  1. Monitor, manage and maintain all Access databases (production & non-production)




  2. Load data daily, troubleshoot problems




  3. Recommend database changes that will increase efficiency and effectiveness




  4. Develop strategies and solutions for managing data backup, recovery and restoration




  5. Provide technical support to the National Accounts Services team




  6. Maintain computer/printer hardware and new setups for department




  7. Serve as back up to all administrative and billing responsibilities




  8. Assist with the development and updating of database documentation




  9. Install and test database releases and upgrades




  10. Create new processes using Access and Excel to streamline reporting




  11. Work with team to design and create database structures based upon changing company needs




  12. Requires regular and consistent attendance.  Comply with all safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)




  13. Additional duties as assigned
